Natural undereye filler!

What Are Under-Eye PRP Injections?

Under-eye PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injections are a non-surgical, rejuvenating treatment designed to reduce under-eye bags, dark circles, and fine lines by utilizing your own blood's natural healing properties. The procedure involves drawing a small amount of blood, processing it to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, and then injecting this concentrated solution under the eyes to stimulate collagen production and skin regeneration.

PRP is rich in growth factors that promote healing, cell regeneration, and collagen synthesis. When injected into the delicate under-eye area, it helps to thicken the skin, reduce pigmentation, and restore youthful volume.

How Do Under-Eye PRP Injections Work?

 1. Blood Draw:

A small amount of blood is taken from your arm, just like a regular blood test.

 2. PRP Extraction:

The blood is placed into a centrifuge, which spins it to separate the plasma (which contains a high concentration of platelets) from the rest of the blood components. This results in a concentrated solution of PRP that is rich in healing properties.

3. Injection into the Under-Eye Area:

The PRP is then carefully injected into the under-eye area. The growth factors in the plasma stimulate collagen production, tighten the skin, and improve circulation, leading to brighter, smoother skin and reduced puffiness or dark circles.

Benefits of Under-Eye PRP Injections

  • Reduces Dark Circles: PRP injections improve skin texture and tone by promoting collagen and elastin production, which can help reduce the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.

  • Restores Volume and Firmness: Over time, the under-eye area can lose volume and become hollow, leading to a tired or aged appearance. PRP injections stimulate collagen production, helping to restore volume and firm the skin, reducing the sunken look around the eyes.

  • Improves Skin Texture and Elasticity: PRP promotes skin renewal and helps thicken the skin under the eyes, improving its overall texture and elasticity. This can make the skin appear smoother, more youthful, and less prone to fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Non-Surgical and Natural: Since PRP uses your own blood, there’s no risk of allergic reactions or rejection. The treatment is non-invasive and requires no surgery, making it an attractive option for individuals who want to avoid more invasive procedures.

  • Minimal Downtime: Most people experience only mild swelling or redness for a few hours to a day after the procedure. You can usually resume your normal activities right away.

  • Long-Lasting Results: While you may see initial improvements within a few weeks, the full effects of PRP treatment take several months to develop as collagen is gradually built up under the skin. With regular treatments, the results can be long-lasting.

What to Expect During and After the Treatment

1. Consultation: You will begin with a consultation to assess the under-eye area and discuss your concerns and goals for the treatment.
2. Treatment Process: The treatment itself typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes. The area is numbed using a topical anaesthetic to ensure minimal discomfort, and the PRP is then injected into the under-eye area.
3. Recovery and Results: After the treatment, you may experience mild swelling, bruising, or redness around the injection sites, but this should subside within a day or two. You will start seeing visible results within a few weeks, with the full effect becoming more apparent over time as collagen production increases.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

For optimal results, a series of 3-4 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart is typically recommended. After that, maintenance treatments can be done every 6 to 12 months to maintain the youthful appearance of the under-eye area.
